Hi All,

I was wondering if someone can answer my question:
I have changed employers and my current employer is in California, but I'm stationed in their local office in Chicago. My case has been in NSC, and I was wondering if it could/would be transferred when they see (RFE) that the headquarters of the company is out of state.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

It is possible that ur case could be transferred to CSC though not very likely. Most cases are transferred to local office, if that. So, most probably, NSC will just adjudicate ur case directly or may transfer it to Chicago.

As with everything else associated with CIS, u can never be sure though...

Thanks for the heads-up.
Here's my info:
I-485 RD 01/24/2002
FP1 03/23/2002
FP2 11/01/2003
3 EAD (don't have the dates) approved
No RFE
Tracker messages last updated 01/21/2003 regarding the FP1
No messages changes regarding FP2
No notification that case was transferred to local office

I moved from Company A (FL-based) to Company B(FL-based with posting in NJ). I moved from Company B to Company C(NY-based but still in NJ).

Never informed USCIS about the moves nor utilized the AC-21. I changed to my friend's address in FL as my permanent address.

Got an RFE to show my status during H1 and employment verification letter (EVL).

Sent H1 approvals and W2s for only the period asked for and sent EVL from new employer. Still didn't mention about change of state or utilizing AC-21.

Got approved without further RFEs.

I work with attorneys a lot (for my company) and I have learned from them several things:
1) Never send all the papers - this will make sure they'll ask for things you expect and will not spend time asking for out of the blue things.
2) Send only what is asked for.

Someone may have experience otherwise but this is my case.
