New Employer - 7th TN. Too risky?

I am in a process of changing to a new employer who hired immigration attorney.
Just today, he advised me going to the POE to get new TN is risky as I am on
my 6th TN. They probbably will file by mail.
However is there really that much risk? I kinda think it shows to POE officer since I am on 6th TN I do not want to stay here coz if I wanted to I would've been on different visa by now.
I am not sure what should I do? How eventual denial affects my current TN and its renewal in 6 months?

Any thoughts?

many people have been in TN status longer than you. of course there is always the possibility that the border guard will question you about the 'temporary' nature of your time in the US. However given that you have never applied for permanent residence is a very strong argument in your favor. The chance of denial is very very low. However, even if you are denied it is not an issue for your existing TN. You will still be able to enter and then proceed to do a mail-in petition. You have very little to worry about.

I have done about 8 TNs, since 2000, same employer.
Make sure you do not sever ties with your home country, as this indicates a possibility of not returning.
I have a Bank of Montreal account, with a small amount of money in it, and an address in Canada, a relative, but it will be my home when I return to Canada.
Recognize your TN is temporary, up to one year. Any indication that you will not be respecting the temporary nature of a TN, could result in rejection.
There is no time limit as to how many TNs you can apply for and receive, but each one is considered new and temporary.

I've had somewhere around 10 TN's since 1997 3 at a POE the rest by mai-in.
No one has ever questioned my intent to stay or leave the country when the 1 yr is up.
If you get denied at the border the effect is obvious; you end up in Canada your stuff in the US.
If you get a denial by mail, usually a Request for Evidence (RFE) first, you have an opportunity to correct whatever deffeciency DHS thinks your application has while still able to work and live in the US.
I knew of people who had far more than 10 consecutive TN's a couple of years ago none of them ever had any issues during renewal/extension.
