Can you help: does any one know if there are any new delays or procedures in getting the H1 visa stamp at the Mumbai consulate? I\'m a reseacher, have INS approval, and thinking of going to India for two weeks. I know I\'ll have to get my visa stamp in Mumbai. Do we know if there are mandatory waiting periods/delays that would take longer than the two weeks I shall be in India, as I have to get back in time to begin teaching at the University? A friend of mine said that in Pakistan, H1 applications have a mandatory waiting period of 20 days. Is there something similar in India?
