New AVM Message: If AVM says your FPs were received ...

Does this mean the FP were received in good quality?
Anyone verified it or had counter examples?

Note, there are two new messages, the first one says your
FP notice was sent out, the second one says your FP were
received. I am talking about the later message.

It is updated

Those cases were FP were sent after 10/01/01
now have two new messages:

First one is: On xxx we sent you a FP notice
Second one is: On yyy we received your FP details ...

My case has changed to the second one, I want to know
does that mean the FP were received in good order
by the INS.
 
Next time somebody talks to IIO - Can you ask this question?

I have tried many times in last two days - but its impossible to get thru\' to INS during daytime. So if someone can check with IIO whether AVM update implies \'Ok FP\' then it\'ll be helpful.

I called INS on 10/15/01 and the IIO said the FP quality was good and I checked AVM yesterday and it says On 16 Oct we received your FP and waiting review pending.

I hope they will be more clear on this and comment on the quality immeidately.

I don\'t know what IIO said is true or not but for sure she checked the records as she told our names and address correctly.

Can someone get more details from INS.

No AVM updated, second FP notice

Thanks for sharing folks.

I gave my FP\'s on 8/15 (as per schedule). No AVM updated as yet. On 10/12, I received 2nd FP notice (issued on 10/4, appointment 11/1). My lawyer says

Unfortunately, this is just one more example of INS disorganization. The software which schedules fingerprints is not coordinated with the database which keeps records of the fingerprints. Thus, multiple notices for persons who have already been fingerprinted are being generated.
 
After receiving 2nd notice I called FBI and they said "my FP\'s were not rejected". On 10/15, I called INS and talked to IIO and she said we \'ve received your FP from FBI but the case is pending. I asked IIO do I need to appear again for FP\'s, she said if you have given FP within last 90 days, just disregard the notice.

I dont know when AVM is updated after INS receives FP. This is something new.
