New approach for I485 process!!!

I think there is something to learn here

We should ask BCIS to start the process in reverse. i.e. first approve I485 upon receipt and then start the process of investigating, may be have a big fine if anything wrong was reported on the app. This would eliminate the pain and suffering for all the people on this forum and beyond.

It would be the same thing. Instead of waiting for approval- you will have to wait for disapparoval.

CORRECT; and it could be even worse.
You will have already invested in a lot of stuff, only to find a "Notice to appear for a removal proceeding" in your mailbox because your application is denied and your GC has been revoked.
 
In a very old childrens' book, a kid claimed to have invented a time machine: if you want to live in, say, 2030, just order everybody to use calendar for 2030 and you're there :)

You can call 485 receipt "a temp green card" and the green card "a permanent green card", but everybody will adjust their policies accordingly and nothing will change - your freedoms will be limited while you have a "temp green card" as much as they are limited now when you only have the receipt.

That story about Indian cabby really cracked me up though :D
