Hi,
I wonder if anybody else have similar experience.
I was a student and in 2002 applied for OPT. I was given A# at that time (A# 131-XXX-XXX). Year later, I changed status to H-1, and the same A# is listed on H-1 approval notice.
Now, my university filed I-140 + I-485 concurrently. In all paperwork (I-140, I-485, G-325A, on the check, on my photographs), I put my A# (131-XXX-XXX).
Now, I got the receipt for I-485, and it shows a new A# (99-YYY-YYY)!
I am very surprised. Is that normal, or I should bug USCIS and point to them that I already have A#?
I just think that some mess-up could potentially happen because all my documents have old A#.
I don't know yet what A# is there on I-140 receipt. It should come to university, and the person who is supposed to get it is out for several weeks.
VSC, EB1-OR.
Thanks a lot
