Never leave any fields blank?

I have read a couple of comments on this board regarding never to leave any fields on the forms blank. In form I-131, part 2 (Application Type), there are several "choices" to make, but you are asked to check only one. For that part, if I check choice "a", do I have to fill all the fields of choice "f" with N/A's, or leave them blank?

On the same form, Part 3 (Processing Information), the instruction right before step 4 states, "If you are applying for an Advance Parole, skip to Part 7". Since my wife is getting an Advance Parole Document, should all the skipped fields be filled with N/A's, or left blank?
