never heard fromINS since Sep'02

I have a problem. I filed mi 1485 with my lawyer in Sept.2002. He promised to send the forms to INS and also send me a copy. Since then i never heard from him. The money i paid has never been withdrawn from my account and i have never recieved a reciept from INS statinga that my application was recieved. So i dont know what to do. Iam now married and my husband has been here for 3months on a visitor Visa. If the other application was never recieved can i file another one and include my husband too, iam an asylee. Someone help please. Thanks

I would be very suspicious of not receiving anything from INS as of this date. Consult your lawyer who filed.

"Now married" does not raise a good sign for me considering you are an asylee. If you got married after your asylum was granted your husband will not be able to get his derivative status through you.
