Hello,
I took Master Degree for 1-2 semester. I went to job fair on campus got a job offer from a company and H-1B approved!!. So now I am under H-1B status and didn't have any chance to finish my master degree. **My H-1B was approved based on Bachelor Degree.
H-1B approved on January 2004, so I have been working for almost a year now. I plan to return to my country Malaysia this December 2004 and need a stamp on the H-1B.
I have all required documents (i797, paystubs, degree, etc), but I don't have any copy of W-2, 1040 because tax return filing is not due yet until March/Apr 2005 for me.
QUESTIONS:
1. what other documents that I need to bring? Will I encounter any problems?
2. any tips2 for the interview?
3. anyone has sample letter from employer?
4. have you ever been refused for a visa? YES/NO?
i applied for an F-1 (master degree) on 2003, my application was ever refused under 214g. I re-applied 3 weeks later and got approved!. I think the mistake lies on DS156. I wrote that I visit US 1997 and 2002 return to my country in my first application. So, the officer assumes that I don't have a binding relationship with my countries. 2nd application, I wrote the detail that I always return every year. Consular convinced that I have families etc and approved. So, should I answer YES/NO on question: have you ever been refused for a visa?
Thanks, any comments will be appreciated. Will help others that need my helps.
