ok so i got my FP done on 10/16/10

rite now im deciding whether to buy flight tickets to asia. me and my friends want to go on this trip in February and were gona hop from country to country while were there(2 week trip, 4 countries)

now, i really want to go but i dont want to go as a resident because i dont want to have to get a visa to go into every one of those countries....i would rather have a US passport. i want to buy the tickets now because their cheap now and i know they will get more expensive the closer i get to February.

my n-400 should go smooth, im 19 and lived in the US since i was 7, i grew up here and went to school here so my english is good and i know a lot about the history and facts of the US and its government. i never been arrested or even had a speeding ticket.

now all im asking for is opinions. i completely understand every person and application is different however based on your experience and seeing others peoples experience do you think its possible me for me to get my interview, oath and passport done before February?

and my Priority date is 9/13/10 and like i said my FP were done on 10/16/10 and i sent the letter to the Phoenix AZ office and live in SoCal

Yes, I think you should be done before February. You can always get a one day or next day passport if you have your tickets booked. However, USCIS usually has a bit of a slowdown around Christmas holidays. All in all I think you have pretty good chances.

Well I will not go to the extent of investing in a Airline ticket, I have seen a lot of cases which sounded like a slam dunk and got stuck in the FBI name check and ended up with being having to sue USCIS after 120 days of the interview as per the law governing naturalization and then getting resolved, this includes cases even for females with clean no arrest no problem cases, sometimes a reason is common name warranting additional time and sometimes it is a reason only known to the government.
On the optimistic side you should have a interview in about two months and then you can have a clearer picture at that time, Feb for international travel is a slow season for airlines and the fares tend to move up at the end of march onwards, I think you have ample time to buy cheaper tickets even in January with more than 3 weeks of advance purchase time.
