Need Your Help. I485, Marriage, New Job Together

My situation is getting complex, and you advice is greatly appreciated.

My I485 was filed in March 2002. According to the Rupnet, my case may be adjudicated in next few months. I plan to get married by the end of the year. My future wife has no Green Card. I am aware that her case may experience difficulty if my application is adjudicated. It is the reason that we want to get married soon, and file her adjustment. My question is: if my application is approved while she is in US and preparing for the document to file her application, will we face the trouble?

In the mean time I plan to join another company at around Feb 1. If the RFE is sent in Jan, should I ask new company to handle the RFE? Do I need to inform BCIS, and how and when? Do I’d better hire a immigration attorney to handle my case? If it is, would you recommend one?

It is really an exciting moment to me since my marriage, new career, and immigration are happening at the same time. On the other hand, this makes my life real complicate, and I do need you help. Please offer your advice to me. Thanks. Thanks.

I put everything on hold just to avoid complication of my case - new job, moving to a different state, getting married, etc. I didn't even go in earlier than what my appointment is for my 2nd FP like many other people do. I had too much expected experiences before because of not being able to be patient. I just don't want to give any, even remotely, possibility to slow down my case. I am not saying you need to do that. It is very painful, but since you are so close to the end, you probably want to think twice about everything. Consult with an attorney is definitly a smart move. At least they can give you good advice. You do need to post your location for people to recommend you a good lawyer, though. Goodluck.

Painful Process

I know it is painful. But, I do not want to give up any one of the three. It is the reason I need your advice. The place I am going to move to is Montgomery, Alabama.

In the present day situation, if your FP is done and is approaching close 15 months, possibility of your approval or RFE may come immediately (just a guess). Also, Feb 1 2003 is at least 45 days more. Many things can happen in 45 days.
First concentrate on your marriage and Jumpstart on the paper and get it ready. Since the delay occurs in medical examination, take appointment on your wifes name. Talk to your attorney.
Take decision at your own risk. Good luck.
