My husband's greencard is reading a shorter version of his first name. There are two portions for the first name with a space - there is no middle name but the green card is reading only the first portion of the first name and initial of the second portion of the first name. (Oh...I hope this is not confusing...)

We never noticed it till now. We are just getting ready to apply by 12/31/2006 and unfortunately noticed this just now.

Where the N400 is asking for the name as printed in Green Card - what should be filled.

All other H1 documents, I-94 , passport and greencard documents are having his full name. Is there any way to change it/ check with USCIS on this matter. This is really stressful.

Any help will be highly appreciated

This is not an issue. If you got your GC via a I-485 and you have your SRC number of the approval notice logon to the USCIS site and check the status number. it will display your real name as in the USCIS system. If you cannot do this, just use the name that was on your Green card application or I485 that you applied. My wife had a similar problem but with GC data which was incorrect. she put down whatever it said on the GC but at the interview the IO could pull up the 485 approval and just changed the date himself. So my suggestion is to put whatever name you used in the GC application. They Screw up often in printing the cards
