Need Urgent Help

Hi Guru,

I got my I-140 and also I got my EAD. I have also completed 180 after I-485 filling. I am doing contracting work and my contact may end soon. I company is laying-off people immediate after I am out of contact.
I have following questions.
1. Can I change my job now?
2. Do I need to get any letter from my old company to continue my I-485 filling?
3. Within how many days I need to find another job after I get layed-off.

Please advice.
 
Yes, you can change job. If you switch, you need a letter from your new company. It does not matter if you have one from the old one.
 
You have no time limit to find job. You should have job- if/when there is an RFE on the 485- that may be months/years away- sometimes never.
