Need Urgent Clarification

Hi,

My sponsoring employer is a future employer. I am not working for him but will be working once my GC is approved. I have got my EAD/I-140/FP approved in Feb 2002. I filed my 485 in December 2002. I am working on H1-B and till now i didn't use my EAD.

Now i got an opportunity where in i have to use my EAD. This opportunity is not with sponsoring Employer. As i said before i will be working with Sponsoring Employer once i get the final approval.

Can i use my EAD for other than sponsoring employer before i get my Final approval?

What kind of risks are involved in this process?

EAD - working for non-sponsoring employer

I am also in the same boat. I485 is filed for future employment, and have the EAD card.

Using EAD card to work for different employer might violate the intention of I485 and hence could be risky to work for another employer.

Like to know views of others.
