Need to travel, change of employer hence new H1 petition but old employer stamp!

Hello,

Here's the deal.I recently had my ex employer's H1 visa stamped in my passport(in Jan).It is valid till mid May 2006.I got laid off 2 wks back and now have applied for Premium processing with my new employer for my H1 transfer.
I need to travel to the UK for vacation 1 month from now(for 2 wks).Let's assume I get the new petition before I travel.Do I need to also stamp it in my passport.Can I travel with my old stamp since it is VALID(?) and NOT EXPIRED.
However since I was laid off there is a possibility that the company might have cancelled the old H1.So can I still travel with my old stamp!

You can travel with the Old VISA stamp provided your new H1 Pet is approved and comes with I-94 attached
