Need to get visa revalidated- India or Dept of State?

Folks,

I need to get my H1B revalidated. My status is good until Oct'04 but my H1B visa expired in Dec'02. Where do you think I should apply for the visa. India or Dept of State. Your thoughts and experience based on current conditions would be appreciated.

Hope, u got a new I-94 with the visa renewal.
In that case, u can renew it in US or India depending upon ur convenience.
It takes about 3 months to get ur visa revalidated here is US.
So, if u are sure u wont be needing to travel in the time ur passport is sent for visa renwal, u can revalidate here.
In India also it takes 3 weeks for processing - currently. If u get a query, it takes more time.
So think of the pros and cons and do it according to ur convenience.

If u have not got a new I-94 with the visa renewal, u have to go to India immidiately, get visa stampe and return to US.
