need to change job after 180 days. what if INS want 140 redo

Here is My husband\'s details

PD June 99
140 applied Oct 99
company name changed march 00(From A to B)
140 approved July 00
485 RD Aug 14, 00
485 ND Sep 06, 00
RFE Dec 11, 00 asking the relation A and B.
RFE respond Jan 17, 01.
Get laid of notice today. Last day with B is Feb 11(180 days from RD)
Now he can change job using S2045. But if INS wants to redo 140 for company name change then what will he do?
Please help.
