Need to call to update address?

I have filed Change of Address form after I moved already. So far, no confirmation letter or whatsoever.

Should I call the 800 to update my mailing address? I am asking because in all my pending cases (EAD and I-485 for me and my husband), I have used the attorney's address. But they did mail the FP notice to my mailing address.

If called, would they ask for a particular pending case or just update your profile? If I want to change the address for FP and further notices, which case(s) should I update? EAD, I-485, or both?

If you mean you filed AR-11, it only fulfills the legal requirement for informing USCIS about your change of address. It does not automatically update your mailing address for your pending applications.

USCIS will send mail to your address on file. However, if you have moved from that address USPS will not forward it to you.

The only (known) way (that works) to update your mailing address for your pending applications is to call NCSC and have them update your address on file for your pending applications. You may or may not have to give them the receipt numbers for all your pending applications.

Hope this helps. :)

I just called in and updated my mailing address. They asked for the receipt number and one needs to call in oneself to do it.

In the original receipt, my attorney's address appears there. I don't want to change that. Hopefully, my call didn't do that.

I am wondering what will be sent to my mailing address other than FP notice. So far, receipts, approval notice for I-140, and RFE notice have been sent to the attorney's address and FP notices to both my and his address. What about the approval notice for I-485 and plastic card? To my or his address?

They'll send the I-485 approval notice to your attorney and send you a courtesy copy which will go a long way in getting your passport stamped right away.

As far as I know the plastic card will be mailed to you directly.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure, someone in this forum will correct me. :)
