Hi,
I have oath scheduled on May 14 at San Francisco.
How is the procedure, in general?
Was wondering if anyone could give some tips?
Has anyone applied for passport there itself and if yes, what document were submitted?
Thank you.

I have posted detailed posts in SF Thread and so have many others. In brief
- go to Masonic center, and get oath there, its a piece of cake, you will enjoy, lots of fun.
- i tried to apply there itself for PP, they did not take online form, so applied in Post Office

Please check SF thread for more details..

Thank you desihai
I have the PPT form handed over to me @ interview time.
Would they accept that format the oath ceremony?
What docs needed for PPT?
DO they ask for birth certificate from India?
Thank you again.

Hey atannu.. though not in SanFran, I went thru the interview\oath ceremony this past week in Virgnia. I reckon the process is somewhat similar in all USCIS Districts. If it helps, during the oath ceremony, we were given an envelope that included a passport application, among other documents. I don't believe a passport application can be submitted online. I submitted mine at a post office the next day. The post office needs the application (do not sign until the postal official directs you to), two recent color photos, Original Natz Certificate (make a blk 'n wht copy for your records), see your picture ID, and two payments; $75check for the passport made out to the State Dept, and $25 for Postal Office execution fee. The State Dept should mail you back the Natz Cert.

Thank you 1AurCitizen
Has anyone applied for the PPT at the oath ceremony itself?
Any tips from those would be good.
Thank you.

has anyone pre-poned oath? Mine is may 14 at san francisco, ws wondering if I could get earlier and if yes, how?

you can postpone oath ceremony by writing to them. Cannot schedule ahead. The oath dates and schedules for SF at http://www.masonicauditorium.com/calendar/index.html

What I meant by online form is I entered all inputs in http://travel.state.gov and it will generate a PDF file with barcode which can then be submitted in Post office. The Masonic center PP staff refused to accept it. I did not want to write by hand as online is less error prone.

If you want just go ahead and apply at the Masonic center, hundreds of people will be dropping off application there.
