I am an unlucky one as for my I485. My first I485 was filed on 6/2000, and was denied because of the stupidity of my lawyer. I had to re-apply at 10/2002. I guess that will make my case a complicated one in the eyes of USCIS. My FP2 was done on 8/17/04, and that was after I purposely applied an EAD, which I do not need (still on H1B). More than two weeks had passed, my LUD had not changed. From the posts on this website, it looks like that people had a quick approval all got their LUD updated within roughly 2 weeks after FP2. I suspect that my case is put back into a catagory of unready ones. Now I am thinking of applying for an AP, which I still have no need for it. Hopefully that may trigger somebody to look at my case again. Any comment is appreciated.

I don't think there should be any problem. It seems you are frustrated nothing else. Don't worry, many of us waiting after their 2nd FP as well. Some time UCIS updates the system and some time not. I will suggest you, don't lose your patience and don't be disheart. Success is very close to you. I wish you best of luck.

Please don't waste money on AP if you dont need one. One reason they delay cases is that people apply for EAD and AP again and again, thus they make more and more money. Please don't help them by paying extra if you dont need AP. I recently applied for EAD (I needed one), it got approved without having any effect on I485.
