Hi Gurus,

Here is my situation:

6 year term coming to an end on 3rd April 2005.
Applied for Labor on March 30th 2004 through company 'A'.
Also applied for H1 transfer through the same company 'A' in Dec 2003.
Got the H1 approval, the approval notice has a date till Dec 12th 2006.

Question: Does it mean I can stay in US for another year and a half without applying for 7th Year extension as date on my new I94 gives me extra time?

Any response is appreciated.

How do they give him a visa valid until Dec 12th 2006 when his 6 years period ends on 3rd April 2005?

When does the visa count starts? Is it first visa issued date? or First landed date?
 
Well it is counted only for days you are in USA. Sometimes it happens in error and there is no guideline to fix it.
