I have an issue that my previous company with whom i was employed with is not providing me with experience letter.I had been with them for 3+ years and was laid off since they couldn't find me a project.

I need suggestions from members here to see if

1) I can report them to the Dept of labor for unethical employment practices.

2) If i could be affected anyways with the company filinf a case against me

What other options available for me to get the experienc letter from them

If i could report them to Dept of Labor can somebody provide with the Labor dept phone numbers.

Thanks for your help

Thank you Joe for a prompt reply. Here are my concerns

1) I didn't get "Terminated" for a cause. I was let gone since they couldn't keep me on the bench with the termination letter stating "no disclipinary actions".

Given the above scenario am i not eligilble for an experience letter.

By " Experience letter " i mean a letter from the employer

1) stating my period of employment
2) the skill sets i'd worked on
3) his comments on my tenure there.

The reason i am looking for this " experience letter " is to support my paperwork for my current GC process.

Or else do you think

1) my termination letter + my last pay stubs should do enough to support the paper work.

Please advice...Thanks
