Need some info regarding stamping.

Guys/Gals,
             My I-485 was approved on Jan 9 as per AVM and I got the approval notice today.I have a situation whereby my passport has less than 1 year validity(which needs a renewal).But I can renew my passport only when there is only 6 months for its expiration which would be
feb-6. Can I stamp my passport with lesser than 1 year of validity or should I wait till feb-6 ,get my passport renewed and then get the passport stamped.Can anyone who had undergone similar experiance share their experiances.

it is simple

hi,
get ur passport stamped as u will get the GC in one months time. so u can later get ur passport extended later. in this current situation u should think of waiting till 2 nd feb because ur approved.
