Thank you in advance for any aid you can offer. I entered the US on a K1 Fiancee visa, approved in London, England. My husband and I filed 1-485 adjustment of status in March of 2002. We had our interview on November 19th 2002 and were asked to provide some more information through the mail. We did this and our case was approved on December 26th 2002. However, we were then immediately placed on hold for the new checks. My EAD ran out in March of this year and so I went and got that replaced, and all they could tell me was the case was still pending. It is now 4 months on and we are still, "pending". The lady at the INS office said some of these new checks had come back in a week and she didn't know why ours was taking so long. 4 months from approval date seems very long. Anyone else in the same situation? Our interview was held in Chula Vista, CA (Near San Diego).
