URGENT! Need some advice/support
Hello everybody!
I found this site very interesting and useful, so decided to ask you Guys for an advice for a friend of mine. He got his I-140 approved and as a next step should apply for I-485. But he can't find her peace because of the following
. Once while shopping, he changed the tag of an item for lower price (about $10 difference) and on the way out was approached by the security staff and taken to the store office. By admitting what he has done, he was set free, no police was called, no fingerprints were taken, was told that he can come to store again and no records will be placed. An item was returned to the store, but he was told that he might get a fine, if not, then not to worry. He is getting crazy about this mistake, feels embarassed talking about it with anyone (lawyers including), and I am the only person who can somehow support him because I assume that no criminal records had been placed. However, we are not sure whether he should report about this incident to his lawyer and on I-485.
Please help with an advice!!! because I485 should be signed off soon.
Thanks
