I filed I140 on this March and got approved on April under the NIW category. I, rather than my emplyer, am the applicant (I filed my case with the help of a lawyer). Because of visa numbers, I cannot continue to file I485. But I am about to change job. Some said that I can freely change my job anywhere and anytime without any risk. Once visa number is available, I can proceed to file I485. Some others said that to avoid risk, I have to stay with the current employer until 6-month after filing 485 (extra time on getting visa number). Thanks!
