need information on H1 visa

I need to know when exactly should I file for my H1 visa for the FY 2005..right now Iam on my H4. I am approaching lot of firms to process my visa. I am worried in the mean while if the date is up.. I dont want to be late. :confused: please help me with information. I appreciate your response.
 
It all depends on your particular situation. Do you have a US Master's Degree? How long have you been on H status? All the time spent on H-4 will be substracted from the 6 year H-1B cap.

I came to US 5 months back on H4, after completing my BE exam. I want to know when I can file my H1. I am taking up some certified training now. I have approached many consultants too. I am getting positive response but, all are giving different dates. I am worried as all the expense is undertaken by me. I hope I am not misleaded. Please help.
