Need Information on CP

Hi All

I am about to file for I140 and came to know that I have to decide whether I have to go for CP or AOS? I am really confused what to do? Can any body help me what is CP and what documents are required and pros and cons of CP over AOS.

File for CP. This will allow you to leave both options open for you. If you indicate CP processing while filing the I-140, once your I-140 gets approved, you can without any delay continue your CP processing or directly file for AOS if you wish. If you file for AOS during filing the I-140, once it is approved you can only file for AOS (If you want to change from AOS to CP at that point, you have to file another form I-824 and get it approved, which represents additional 4-6 months of waiting).
