Hi Guys:

I just back from my country after a month vacation. When I go from here, my card is in mail and went with only stamping.
Didnt get into any trouble. I am writting this info incase any body is in this situation.

Let me come to my question.

I am suppose to get state id and social security number for my daughter, she is age 4? probably she might need these to start schooling next year.

What do you mean by "state id"? If it meat state photo ID, then
depending on state but I think the minimum age to get it is
the same as minimum age to get a driver license.

If you need a photo ID for very young children, use GC or passports.

you can't get a state id for a 4 year old

for school purposes they only will want to see the gc

they will make a copy of it for her file

she will also need a social security number

you just go down to the local social security office

do not mail it

bring her gc and passport and they will mail out a card

you can save some time and fill out the form before you go
