Hi All,

Lost job with client in Oct 2001, but consulting company did not fire me. My I-140 was processing at that time. Applied for my I-485 on March 31 2002. Still off a client job but with the consulting company. Pregnant at that time so decided not to accept any offers. Consulting company finally laid me off before 180 days of I-485. I have been without a job till today. Fingerprinting completed in May 2003. Status shows that processing for 1/15/2002 is going on. My online status shows that fingerprinting is complete and case has resumed processing. My questions are...

1. What are the chances for my application being rejected?
2. Will there be an RFE?
3. If I get a new job at this stage with a different employer, same job, will that do?

Thank you for any advice in this matter.

You need to make sure your I-140 is still approved. Check online and AVM. If that is okay - you still need to find a same/similar job to qualify for AC21. You can still get approved without a job if employment RFE is not raised

God knows. These are the basic reasons : (a) Random QC check (b) lack of or wrong documentation (c) some new development on your case like H1B cancellation. It is better to prepare yourself for an RFE.
