Hello Everybody,


I have filed my I485 in Jun-2002. I am going to India for marriage in next month. I will be filing I485 application for my wife after returing to USA. As per the current BCIS status, I am hoping my I485 application will be approved in next six months.My question is how much time I have to wait for my wife application to be approved. I mean to say approx 18 months after filing her application or her approval comes with my approval with little time diffenece.

Your wifes approval will come later, it will be based on the reciept date of your wifes 485 application ...

I filed for 485 in Jan 2002 and my wifes 485 was filed in Jan 2003 , I am expecting my approval in a few months , however my wifes approval will not come along with me .. this is what my lawer says ...

You have to make sure to file ur wifes 485 application before your 485 is approved...
