I am going to apply for canadian immigration and i need help for the following questions

I am working in US for last five years

1. do i have to take the language test. (my medium of instructions was in english)

2. do i have to get a police certificate from India?. Do i have to send the FBI fingerprint along with my application. Is it advisable to send it now or later?. (because in the appendix b they say for those who applying from US need not send the police certificate now)

3. i have some company in canada who can give me a offfer letter. but what is permanent job offer confirmed be HRDC.

2) YEs for FBI , Yes for Police clearance from India

3) The job has to be confirmed by HRDC , something like Labour petition I-129 for H1b .
 
I applied for my PR card in India but transfered to US and they just asked for FBI certificate and Police certificate from my city council; but they never asked abt Police Certificate from India.

Mayank, In your case, you already submitted India's PCC.

I also applied from India(when I was single) and then I moved to USA, and transferred file to Buffalo.

After came to USA, I got married and got child also. So, Canadian embassy told me to apply(up to date application for me) again and new application for wife and kid. Kid was USA born. but wife was India born. I didn't submitted Indian PCC for her(May 2001).

But, my friend applied from USA in Dec 2001. when his interview was arranged(Dec 2003) at that time(in interview), he was asked for PCC from Indian embassy in USA.

So, 'sethu_s' has to get PCC from Indian Embassy also and submit.

thanks guys for the response. for the fbi and police certificate can i send it now along with my application?. or should i send it when they ask?.

I applied for PR for my wife(on 07/23/02) who is on H4 in US. Actually in her case also they never asked for Police Certi from India.(N.B: I finished around 2 years as PR when I applied for her)
