Need Info on LA/Orange County/Anaheim

Hi Members,

I recently got my Greencard and I am thinking of relocating to LA area. Presently in NYC /NJ area. Please help me in this decision by giving your opinion on the following in LA/Orange COunty/Anaheim region

1. How is the job market there?( I am a SQL DBA).
2. How is the weather there?
3. Crime rate/School districts?
4. State /Income/Sales taxes/Insurance?
5.Which is a better place out of the three places I mentioned keeoping in mind that I am an Indian and Indian grocery stores and community in the vicicnity is desirable.

Please tell me out of your personal experience .Basically anybody who has idea about NYC/NJ area and now living in LA area can also give a comaprison.

Answer: Not bad compared to other places.
2. How is the weather there?
Answer: In my view, best in the country.
3. Crime rate/School districts?
Answer: Most of the school districts not great. The good oves are in very expensive area. By expensive i mean the real estate is way high. The median house price in this county is $600, 000 which may the highest in country so if you are buyinh a house in good area then you should be prepared and this is the major decision making factor. I am planning to move out due to this reason.
4. State /Income/Sales taxes/Insurance?
Answer: high
5.Which is a better place out of the three places I mentioned keeoping in mind that I am an Indian and Indian grocery stores and community in the vicicnity is desirable.
Answer: Irvine, Yourba Linda, Cerritos are good cities. Many choices for Indian places .

Please tell me out of your personal experience .Basically anybody who has idea about NYC/NJ area and now living in LA area can also give a comaprison.
