I need names of few employers in Toronto area who would sponser Canada Work Visa for me. I am a Software Engineer from India.

Birth certificate not available

I don\'t have a original birth certificate with me and don\'t think will be able to get one.Could anyone tell me if a passport can work in place of a birth certificate?
