I am a Canadian citizen & and my green card was approved in January this year. I would probably be called for an interview early next year, after which I will move to the US. This is a family based green card (My mother, who is a US citizen, sponsored me for the green card.
I am married with one daughter. As I understand, I would have to apply for their green cards, as beneficiaries. At this time the processing time for spouse and children is around 39 months (unless I understood it wrong).
My question is this:
1)My wife and daughter might visit me after I get the green card. As Canadian citizens, they don't need a visa to visit the US.
Can I apply for their green card while they are there with me?
2) Would this classify as "adjustment of status"? or is there any other way they could join me earlier, as permanent residents/
Thank you in advance for your suggestions and advice!
