NEED INFO: I-485 pending, Layoff after 180 days, moved to different state, EAD expire

I got laid off after 180 days of filing my I-485. Subsequently I moved from CA to TX as I got another job there (on contract basis with contracting company offering permanent position and I am using my EAD for legal employment status). I still have a permanent address in CA and a temp address in TX as well.

My EAD is now expiring on 7/31/03. How and where should I file for the renewal of my EAD? Can I file from CA office or do I need to have my current company move my immigration process to TX (which is 2yrs behind CA)?

Other questions are:

Can I move back to H1-B status if my new EAD does not arrive till 7/31/3?

Does my new company needs to inform BCIS that I have moved from the older company to this one?

You are in problem, Till now you have not filed you EAD and current one is expiring on 7/31/03. There is no chance that you will get iEAD before 7/31/03 so how will continue to work for your employer ? Have you given a thought on it?

Apply EAD renewal ASAP I mean tomorrow, where your 485 application is pending that is CSC.

First thing cover your base form EAD point of view than look for other options.

I would say no need to inform INS at this point ,once you get RFE than you can send pay stubs and EVL or W2s whatever is required.

Your job change is covered under AC21 provided you are in same job profession and salary wise you are getting same salary as it was mentioned in your LC.
