I am a physician with background in cardiovascular research and medical informatics on H1b visa.
My H1b visa expires in July first (in 2 weeks) and I am filling my NIW-EB1 case (concurrent filling I-140 & I-485) before my status expires.
I want to keep my H1b status and I have found a university-based job but they are not able to file my H1b in 1-2 months (because of licensing and credentialing issues). My concerns are:
1- will I be out of status after my H1b expires?
2- if I have a pending I-485, can I apply for h1b extension in 2 months, even though there is a 1-2 months gap between my employments?
3- if my petition is approved for the new H1b visa, should I travel out side of the U.S. to get a new I-94?
