I-485 pending, Employer wants me to be paid directly by his client
I work in an architectural firm.
I have been working on projects of one of my employer's client's since last couple of years. Since I am spending 80% of my time on this client's projects (under my employer's supervision), my employer feels it might be okay for this client to pay me directly rather than go through him. This client is not an architectural firm. Will that in any way hurt my immigration status and the ongoing GC process?
I had applied for I-485 on July 2 2008. I have had H1b visas as well as green card sponsored through the same employer.
