I'm becoming a US citizen in a month and plan to sponsor my parents (who are now in the US) by filing 130/485 concurrently. I'm worried about I-864 because my income in the previous two tax years is low, although the most recent tax year is fine:

Tax year 2005: 32,560
Tax year 2004: 13,240
Tax year 2003: 6,306
The 125% poverty line is 29,250

Do you think this will be fine? If I only submit the most recent tax return, would it be okay?

My assets are all jointly owned with my husband. If I use my assets, should I use only half of it? Do I need to ask my husband to file an 864A?

Thank you!

Send in tax returns for all 3 years and recent pay stubs. Get a job letter stating your annual income, date of hire and position title. If there is an issue USCIS will send you an RFE(Request for further evidence) and then you can use your husband's income and assets to qualify.

Do everything by instructions NOT to get an RFE!!!
If that's only your income then you don't need a joint sponsor, and you don't need to show any assets. If you file jointly with your husband, and your income alone doesn't meet the requirements, then he would need to fill out I-864A.
Read the Special Instructions on this page:
http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/us...nnel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD.
You don't need to send your tax returns for 2003 & 2004, since they won't help you. Send only the 2005 tax returns.
