Need Help

I need your help regarding visitor's visa extension here in US. I know I am not supposed to post this here in this forum. But I really need your suggestions. My sister's in-laws have been granted for a 3 months visa. They got it stamped in India recently. The visa expires in the month of Sep '03.

My question is can we extend the visa after coming here into USA? I know we can extend the visitor's stay i.e. I-94 expiry date with a valid visa, but how to extend the visa it self? Is it possible?

I would appreciate if you could really help me on this...

Thanks...

They can still get 6 months I-94

Even if the visa is only for 3 months, they can still get I-94 valid for six months. How long the I-94 will be given is totally in the hands of the Immigration Officer at Port of Entry.

What you need to do is, send a letter to your relatives explaining where and all you are planning to take them to and on what dates. Try to span the time frame for about 6 months. You can get the format of the letter in www.immihelp.com

By looking at that letter Immigration Officer at port of entry may give I-94 for six months.

My friend's parents got visa for 3 months and at port of entry this letter helped and they got I-94 for six months.

I hope this helps.
