One of my very good friends has really difficult situation, she doesn't speak english that much, so I was trying to help to fill AOS papers for her but have a lot of specific questions. This is her story:
She came to USA on MAy 2007 as J1 student(visa May 2007-oct 2007). On Sept 2007 she applied for B2, got approved(valid until Apr 1 2008), then applied again and still didn't get any response. On website it says" On march 2008 we received your case and it's pending", she never got anything, only notice of action that case was received. She is scared to call USCIS to find out, because she is thinking she is illegal over here. She is married with Us citizen(since Nov 2008)who just naturalized a little ago.So
Question#1. What information should she put on 1-94? the last valid she had or the one she arrived with?
Q#2.What to answer about her status? Should a lawyer or who call to USCIS?
Q #3 What to put for question like" Has you ever been under removal, deportation.....?"
Thank You
To be continued.......:D

USCIS has new website that shows the position of your case, make sure you look and see where your case where is at. If she married US citizen, she does not have to worry about her status; because USCIS forgive her, even if she was stay here illegal.
