Hi,
I applied an I 130 petition for my wife as a legal permanent resident. The petition was approved and was sent to the NVC. i recently became a US citizen and sent the NVC an email along with the scanned image of my naturalization certificate as instructed by NVC customer service.
I requested them to change the category of my wife petition from spouse of LPR to spouse of US citizen. it has been over 4 weeks now and i called them today and they said that it is under review. The customer svc agent was very vague and said i should call back after another 4 weeks.
I am getting really confused now and i have following questions.
1) Why does it take that long?
2) what do they mean by a review??
3) do i have to file the petition for my wife all over again as a US citizen or will they change the category of my wife petition.??
4)Is it normal for them to do a review of the case when there is a change in category from spouse of LPR to spouse of US citizen and is it normal for them to take this long??
please help me cuz i need to know this asap.
