Have you ever heard of google? Why not go to the social security administration website and seek answers? :( Google your questions.... stop seeking answers for things which you can find yourself...

Stop it.... .....douche....

ok you are not answering my question!!! again my question is if i send the form I-130, I-485, etc, etc........how long does it takes to get the green card??????
THANKS

In your initial question you actually asked how long to get a social security card, not a green card. That is why Al directed you to google. Please check that the questions you post are indeed the questions you want answers for.

In answer to the GC question, it dependes on where your district office is, and how long it takes for your name check to occur. There appears to be a lot of variation in times. For instance, my entire application was process, and the GC arived at my house, in approximately 70 days. Unfortunately, other people have been less fortunate!

Good luck

It sounds like you have done limited research. You are going to have to study more if you want to be successful in doing this.

When applying for green card, the first step as you know is to file all proper forms to USCIS. They send you a Notice of Action, verifying they have received your application. ( anywhere between 2 weeks to 30 days) Then you can set up an online case status on the USCIS website to keep track of your case. You will have to wait for them to send appointment for fingerprints (1 - 2 months after you file) and then when you get your EAD - employment authorization document back, (1 month if your name check is cleared and USCIS hasn't fallen to sleep) you go to the Social Security Office and file for your social security card. Depending on when Social Security Office receive your paperwork from USCIS, will determine how long it will for them to send you the card. It could take 2 weeks to 2 month (average) to get Social Security card. Then you wait to see if you will get a RFE (Request for Evidence) from the USCIS if they need more information from you. This will delay your case somewhat so that is why we are urging you to do a lot more research. If you dont get the RFE, then they will schedule for interview. If you do get RFE, you have to send the info back before they can complete your case. Getting the green card may take anywhere from 90 days to 1 year (average). You can't do much about how long USCIS takes to process you. So once again, we on this forum are urging you to google, yahoo, anything:o , and not just post undecisive questions. It is work the effort you have to give to have peace of mind and a successful journey.

I HOPE YOU GET MY DRIFT.
