Need help! Please

I am new to this forums, I came to US on B1 visa 6 years back and applied for H1b (Immediately) and now working on H1. Never was out of status. After coming here Never been to INDIA. I applied for 7th year extention (April 2006). My wife and son are on H4. I have applied for Canadian PR and is in process and hope to get approved soon. Planning to get visa stamped in Canada sometime this year.
My question: In my case what are the chances of getting visa stamped in Canada for me and my dependents?
Do we need visa to come back to US? I mean does the Automatic Visa Revalidation (AVR) applies to me?
These questions seems to be like silly, but please answer.
Please put some light on this.
