Need help with n400-disrupted continued residence

I'm planning to file for US citizenship in the next couple of days , but prior filling out the N400 form I have couple of concerns. I have LPR status for 5 years, have been physically present in the US for 30+ months and done all my income taxes for each year. The biggest issue is that between 2003 and 2004 I've been out of the country for 11 months(due to illness), therefore I disrupted my continued residence in the US. So my question is: Can I fill the N400 form with phony date( leaving the country and coming back) and be able to pass on the interview? Can USCIS check the information provided about the dates of leaving the country and coming back(that absence of 11 months is the only problem)? And what will be the consequences if I get caught? Or should I go with the exact dates including a medical notice as an explanation for my absence?

I really need to become an US Citizen, so I can bring my wife and my parents in the US. Or it's better to wait for 2 more years when I will be fully and legitimately eligible to file for US Citizenship?

Any help and suggestion is more than welcome.

If you cheat you will be caught and if you are caught you might be debarred from citizenship for moral terpitude. You are better off not lying! Some of the people who have had interview before have written that USCIS have all of the entry and exit dates and it would be very fool hardy to cheat, especially since one of your entry's is over 6 months departure.

Don't lie on the appl, the penalties can be severe if they discover the lie. A better thing would be to mention the truth and have some backup docs to prove the med issues.

Please see pg. 22 of Form M-476, you have most probably broken your continuous residence.

I don't think any documents will help unless you are working for US owned firm engaged in foreign trade and filed a N-470 form before you left the US.
