Hi,
i applied for a h1b transfer and got an rfe(as the latest paystub was missing) the lawyer for my company sent a letter stating unpaid vacation etc..... today i received the h1 b transfer approval but it says that i need to go to chennai for consular processing.......... do i have to leave immediately? ...
and what are the chances that they will stamp the visa(given the case that i did not have the latest paystub while applying for a transfer)?
btw i was on f1 then shifted to h1b
i also got my h1 stamped last year in mexico when i was with my previous employer

any info will be appreciated thanks.

Lot depends on the new employer's credibility ...
thanks for the reply,i was wondering if this situation ( i.e where uscis does not send the i94 instead asks the person to visit the home country to get a new h1 b visa stamped) is this situation different from like you know when someone on f1 who converts to h1 goes to mexico or canada for a visa stamping??
i know that in both cases we get a h1b visa attached to the passport.......any particular reason y they do not send a i94 and instead ask us to visit the home country?

Proceed with the visa stamping and be prepared to answer any question, also carry the latest paystubs, employer's letter of unpaid vacation among other documents.
