Need Help With Form I-864

Hello!

I am applying for my greencard through my husband and I am filling out the I-864 form. I was going to put myself down as a co-sponsor on the household income part, but my employment authorization card expired in May of this year, so technically I shouldn't even be working. His income from last year alone doesn't reach the minimum poverty level. What should I do? Should I list mine anyway, or will his income tax return from previous years combined be enough? This year he makes more than enough, but it's nowhere near filing time yet...so we're stumped as to what we should do. Any help, information will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!

Well if he makes more than enough this year ...should that suffice? You could get a letter from his employer stating the current salary. I mean technically USCIS needs to know if your sponsor makes more than poverty guideline at the time of sponsoring (application).

PS - Above is just my thought; not an advice. Others please correct if I am wrong.

Yeah, I've thought a lot about that too...it makes a lot of sense. I think we'll try that and hope for the best. Thanks for the help everyone! :)
