Need help with filing Form I-131

Hi,

can someone help me with filing Form I-131? This is the first time I am filing it on my own and I am unsure about the following.

1. Form I-131 Part 1 #3- Class of Admission. What information should I provide?

2. What supporting documents should I provide? I have an expired RTD, should I mail that in as well?

3. How reliable is the E-filing? Has anyone gone through that route?

I've also read that the processing time is between 4-6 months, is the information reliable?

Class of admision : what is your, for instant I am a Refugee, so it is my class of addmision.
E-filling some body told me you have to go to the local INS and they take Photo out of you, Mailing way i think is much more easier for now.

the period of time you have to wait is vary , normally between 4 to 6 months but you may want to expedite it, refer to the USCIS Expedition section.(You need some humaneterian reasons)

what ever they asked you to mail to them, on the instruction sheet all are you supporting documents, that is going to be it. So good luck
 
Thank you for the information. I am an asylee, so I guess I would enter "asylee" in the box.

I am a little confused about the photo part though. The instructions that comes with the form says "the photo should show a 3/4 frontal view of the right side of your face, with your right ear visible and your head bare...", but I thought BCIS has changed their regulation on photos, i.e. the whole face should be facing the front, with both ears showing. Any comment on that?

I did E filing 2 weeks back, all went through fine. Pay with credit card.
Once you are done it will give you print out of application for your records, and 2 copies of confirmation notice, keep one for your records and 2 one should be sent on top of supporting evidence.
I don't know about your current status, so can't suggest what you will need to sent, 2 photos from front, old RTD( Keep copies for your record) and a copy of DL.
Mailing address for evidence will be on confirmation notice.
received a letter few days after I filed.
and online date changed few times.
you will not be able to check status on line, till they charge your card and get their money.
 
I got the same one, It is in page 5 of the application (PDF). I took the whole application to Photographer and asked him to it the same way.
And the accept it. so , good luck, If you have more question let me know.
