Need Help with Family Based I-485

I wanted to file I-130 as well as I-485 for my father; but some one told me that he has to wait at 60 days before filling the petition. He is on Visitor visa. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

what is your status?

Assuming you are a citizen of the US, you may petition for your father anytime. If you are not a citizen of the US, there is no visa available for your father.
