I am planning on sponsoring my parents now that I am USC. Just need to know the process well b4 I do it. Ok, I send I-130 for each of my parents along with their marriage certificate, my birth certificate showing both of their names. Affidavit of support (can I use both mine and my wife’s income and if so do each of us need to fill out the support form?) I send these to VSC since I live in WV. They issue visa number for them since they are immediate relatives no wait time. What happens then? I am assuming their info gets sent to US Embassy in Dhaka, BD. Do they have to fill out I-485 or other forms there? Do they have to get medical exam, fingerprints there? How long does this process takes? Would I be able to attend the interview with them?
If any of you have gone thru this process either in Bangladesh or other countries, I would greatly appreciate any info.
